I've known Jez since the summer of 1984 when we started at photographic college together. We worked as a team on many of the college projects and shared a house for almost two years. After college we started our own small agency in London which we ran for seven years. His passion for photography has always been hard to define but his blog goes a long way towards putting that energy into a form that people who have never met him might understand.

We don't see as much of each other as we used to but we constantly watch each others' work and the web has made it relatively easy for me to get inspiration from Jez. The picture above was taken at Christmas 2007 when he was over in the UK visiting his parents and we went up to see him, his partner and their kids. Even on a late afternoon stroll we managed to shoot a lot of pictures.

Congratulations on being in the top 100 my friend, maybe next year I'll have graduated from a pre-blog to a real blog and be right behind you in the list!
